Yesterday with a friend I put together this product. There are three chickens in it , not quite at point of lay and they love it. Emily, Charlotte n Sofie. Their first am they came down the ladder, non too elegantly. It will be interesting if tonight they put themselves to b d in their 2 storey castle. I love it

Seem to be made out of strong plastic. Screwing them to the ground just by hand seems to be easy. I have only used them for 3 weeks now, so I don't know if the pegs last long time or not. I hope that they do.

I initially thought £50 for a pair of wheels was too expensive when purchasing my Eglu Go Up. I have 4 teenage boys to help me move the coop so I thought I would save the money. However the skirt on the run makes the coop quite tricky to move, and it's all rather heavy even with all 4 boys helping, so after a few months I purchased the wheels. BEST DECISION EVER! Moving the coop is a doddle now, and I love being able to give my girls a fresh patch of grass every few weeks without having to round up any helpers - the wheels really do make moving the coop easy for one person to manage alone. Well worth the cost!

I bought this eglu go up with the run extension as a birthday present for my wife. The quality is very good and the chickens took to it straight away. I wish I had bought one in the first place as we have spent a lot over the years on wooden ones that always leak and need maintenance. It took a lot longer to put together than I thought it would. I recommend people not very good at diy to spend a bit extra to get it delivered from Omlet and built by them, but it's very warm and dry and draught proof.

Very happy with this Eglu. Easy to clean and use. Might extend the handles a little to make it easier to push them down and wheel it around but we are really pleased with it all!

5 stars for my Omlet chicken house and run. My 5 year old granddaughter helped me put it together. The only problem I found is the door at the rear could do with a slide hinge as we let the chickens out round the garden to put 3 birds away at end of the day ends up being a 2 person job. But what ease to clean I would recommend it to any one with a small garden as it's on wheels!

I've noticed there are no reviews for the new Cube, so here goes! For many years, we've happily used the Eglu Classic and Eglu Go, but decided it was time for an upgrade. Our new addition is far more spacious than the other 2, and being raised, will undoubtedly be easier on the back to clean and retrieve eggs. The Cube takes significantly longer to put together - but that only adds to the sense of accomplishment at the end! Instructions are generally quite good, and thankfully, a few extra screws, clips, etc are included. The build quality far exceeds that of the Eglu Go, but falls just short of the seemingly indestructible Eglu Classic. We've always had issues with hens sleeping in the laying area, so the sliding door preventing access at night is very welcome. And I can't describe how excited I am about the automatic door opener due out in spring! The height of the run is perfect for young children to walk around in - and even a determined adult if you mind your head (and feet at the threshold). I was disappointed to find no accessories specifically for the new Cube available at launch - namely, the various run covers and winter jacket. I've gone with run covers designed for the original Cube, which obviously work, but extend further down the sides than they would on the original. Overall though, we're very happy with the product. Just waiting for our new hens to move in, but I'm sure they'll agree.

We are first-time hen keepers who recently acquired three commercial rescue hens as pets. This coop was bought for them, and we have been using it for about five weeks now. I am not an enthusiastic assmebler of flat packs but I found that the house itself was easy to assemble although it took a bit longer than the guide time. The run was a bit of a nightmare to assemble - the clips were very fiddly and hard on the fingers, and I had not expected there to be some many small panels to put together. It took me ages and I had to re-do one side as I had made a mistake somewhere along the line. However, I am absolutely delighted with the finished product. The hens love it and it is very easy to keep clean.My two children soon got the hang of opening and closing the run door and the coop, and they love going out in the morning to let the hens out, feed them and check for eggs. I am glad I bought the wheels package as it makes it very easy to move the coop and run around the garden. I didn't realise to begin how to click the wheels into position but my 5 year old soon sorted me out. (He has been an avid viewer of the videos of the coop on the Omlet website!) Having the coop up off the ground makes it easier to clean and to collect eggs, and the hens also like sheltering under it if it is raining.It also gives them a bit extra grass if they are shut in the run during the day (they normally get to free-range) although we bought the 1m extension which I think gives them about the right amount of space. The hens took no time at all to get the hang of the ladder and take themselves to bed every night. I feel that they are safe in the coop at night as it seems very sturdy and secure. I also think the coop and run look great in our garden and several visitors have said the same thing. So, all in all, very pleased with our purchase and happy to give it 5 out of 5 even although the run was quite fiddly to put together.
