What materials is the Switch made from?
The Switch has a durable bamboo base, tougher than white oak, an inner chamber made from fully recycled PET. Its main plastic components are constructed from tough, lightweight ABS. It has cork feet, a strong steel bracket, velcro strap and LED light strips.
How often do I have to replace the sleeve?
This is somewhat down to the individual cat. We recommended you monitor the material, turn the sleeve around for a refresh, then replace it roughly every 6 months.

I have a big cat, will the Switch be tall and strong enough?
Switch is designed for cats of all sizes, including big breeds like Maine Coons. The additional weight at the middle of the product means that the centre of gravity is really low, so that the scratcher doesn’t topple when your cat jumps or climbs on it. The Switch is also roughly 20% taller than the average cat scratcher, so that there’s plenty of room for full body stretches.
Are the lights battery powered?
The Switch is mains powered and needs to be plugged in. Its 4m cable and cable tidy ensure you can place it wherever best suits you and your cat.
Can I use this product outdoors?
The Switch is for indoor use only.
What if my cat isn’t interested in the lights?
Whilst we have tested extensively and are confident cats will engage with the ambient light settings, they may need time to start interacting confidently with it. In the meantime, you can encourage your cat by spraying the Switch with catnip mist, adjusting the light and speed modes to see if some appeal more than others, trying other places in the home and ensuring there’s plenty of play space around it, and turning it on after naps, which is when cats are most prone to stretch and play.
Will I be able to see the lights in the daytime?
The lights are visible in daylight, however, if you want maximum impact, we recommend the cream colorway, as the coffee mutes the brightness slightly.
Will it be expensive to run the lights?
In short, no. The cost of running the LED will depend on your energy provider and for how many hours a day you’re using the lights, but in general LEDs are a very energy-efficient and cost-effective light source.

All rescues and were used to being strays. I TNR or rescued them and made them indoor cats for safety. I bought the Catio and we made it 9 X15, it's HUGE and they love it.

Always happy with Omlet!
My cats have several Omlet items now, and I'm always impressed! The designs are always thoughtful, good quality and my cats enjoy them. The Switch scratching post looks good, is a great height to let my cats get a good stretch in, and the LEDs let it double as a nice light feature in the living room. Just received Pookie’s new Switch Post. 🤩 She’s out tearing up the neighbourhood so thought I’d assemble it ready for her return. Paper instructions as well as YouTube video allow you to complete the task. Please be patient, it takes a little time as fully assembly is required. The bottle used to add weight suggests filling with 💦 for speed of assembly. I choose to use play pit fine sand as had half a bag kicking about in the garage. Very good quality components which add to the robustness of this post. LED Lights are a crazy option. Real interested to she how Pookie reacts to them. Post is in my sons boy cave were she hangs when home. Tonight should be action packed with some fun along the way. That’s it, time to go build the Fido cage now 😂🔧🤙🏻

Finally a cat post that is aesthetically pleasing and works incredibly well for my chunky babies. I love that there is a weighted bottle in the base of the post, which keeps it steady when my cats use it in the past their posts would fall on them because it couldn’t support their weight. The lights are a cool feature which we use ourselves as a little night light haha. Definitely worth getting your hands on one if you can
