It lives up to all expectations.

I had serious doubts about spending a lot of money on a chicken house and especially one i hadn't even seen! However, I can't rate the cube highly enough. I've had it for two weeks now and my four girls love it. I got the extension too as otherwise i felt it would be far too cramped for them. I would not put anymore hens in there. On Sat it took me 6 mins to clean thoroughly - i clean out the poo trays every other day and i line the trays with newspapers so the job takes me about 30 seconds. My girls are VERY happy, as am I.

I simply adore the quality and design of this, the Rolls Royce of hen hotels. The Cube was easily assembled by me and my 18 month old son (who surprisingly wasn't that much help) in about 90 mins. We collected the girls on Friday and Hermione laid our first egg on Sunday, which really was the best Mothers Day present I've ever had! Both my children love the new arrivals and I would highly recommend this product to anyone who has ever thought of grabbing a bit of the good life for themselves. The girls love going up to bed in the evening and I can sleep tight in the knowledge that they are warm and safely tucked up too.

The cube is a brilliant piece of kit. The chickens love it - we love it and everyone who has come to visit us loves it. The only thing that would make it better would be if the run section could easily unclip from the cube to make cleaning the front of the cube and the steps much easier.

Well, after considerable thought we have decided to keep bantams again and after looking at an appropriate residence for said bantys, we selected the Eglu in a fetching shade of blue. Today was the day for construction! And I have to say that the instructions were crystal clear and after a couple of hours (including tea breaks and time to stand back and admire my handiwork!) the Eglu was finished! EXCELLENT!! The only criticism I could say was that there were a couple of really tight bolt hole alignments which resulted in a bit of huffing and puffing....other than that, a superb house for the bantys !! It just took one or two days for my new Ex batt Hens[3 birds] to get the hang of the ladde but after that they've got on fine. Have had egg's from day one and all seem to be happy chicks.

Upgraded from eglu, same great quality but now we can keep more chickens!

Fantasticly easy clean, easy feed/collect/water etc and looks good too. We can let them out of the run when we are working nearby, but keep them safe from Mr.Fox when we are away for the day - and obviously the cube itself is totally secure. Just minor points: those clips were fine for large strong male paws to clamp shut but I struggled , although helped when I used grip style pliers to help squeeze them in , but would need to have these padded to avoid damage. The process took about 4 hours, but it was sleeting here in Scotland and we ended up finishing it with frozen fingers in the dark with head torches! That said, the instructions were very clear and put together the design is great, all bits working perfectly for low maintenance and happy, clean hens. They laid eggs the next day in the eggport area, the space allowing them to make two deep cosy side by side. I ordered the run plus extension; the only aspect here would be that it is more awkward to move the run with this extension, and the hassle with the clips made me reluctant to unclip the extension for moving it - otherwise the up on wheels bit is easy and looks strongly made. But some recessed handles would help with the moving process too. I can move it on my own, but it is easier with 2 people. All in al I'm delighted with the product. I've kept hens for 20 years , I just wish I had splashed out earlier! ( Our local foxes would have been disappointed though, and might be moaning now....)

As foster parents we like to incorporate animals as a form of therapy. The children helped in choosing the hut! Assisted in the assembly, 35 minutes less than the recommended time, helped to choose the chickens and named them, chickens settled in in no time. Easy to clean, fox proof, dog proof, and more importantly kid proof a product - well worth buying for the urban chicken keeper.

Having upgraded from an Eglu to a Cube I was unsure of the complete difference in design and it took me a while to convince myself to part with my funky looking Eglu, however, I have to say I love the Cube and like the Eglu, it's also very easy to clean, the poop trays on the Cube are at a level where bending is no longer needed and the extra space the hens have is brilliant.
