An excellent coop worth the expence
The initial pack came without all of the correct fiittings (for the skirt around the extended run). Omlet not only sent them to us without quibble, but sent them again when a relative accidentally took the first parcel to the tip. Thus service was excellent.
As in other reviews, putting the thing together was a challenge, but we managed.
The run has now been with us for about 6 weeks. The chickens are happy. We used a plank to help them up the steps for the first week - they were only a few weeks old at the time, and quite small, but they soon got the hang of it. The run is easy to clean, and much more convenient than our more traditional hen house, I can move it around the lawn on my own. It certainly needs to be moved every day if the chooks are kept in - they love the grass, and eat it down to the ground, and then scratch gaps around the edge of the pen. This is OK in spring when the grass is growing well, but I think in winter we will need to move it onto hard ground and use woodchips, as suggested. I haven't noticed any fox digging yet, so we haven't yet tested the skirt of the run.

Excellent
As others have said wishi had bought one yeRs ago. The only wY we can get away on hols knowing hens safe in extended run. Far more roomy than thought. Lovely deep next box, lovely deep poop trays. Sheen finish so cleans like new . Use to have to lean every day but now only do it weekly.hens are free range but know they still have plenty of room if I need to keep them confined in the extended run in inclement weather or ifi am way or busy.w they have plenty of shelter with the weather proof cover and wind breaks, food is kept dry and clean. Love it what more can I say, my hens healthy happy energetic laying still through the winter too we move our every two months to prevent it getting boggy underfoot. And also throw in. Bit of straw too. Looking for an extended hols this year with few neighbours keeping an eye on them.

Impressive
Wish I'd bought one of these ages ago, my hens love it, and so do I. Very professional service when it was erected, well worth the extra and it does what it says on the box, and looks good in my garden....well done Omelet, and thank you!

Excellent product would recommend
Well made and robust product. Extremely easy to keep clean. Whilst initially more expensive than wooden models over time you will save not having to buy bedding and expensive red mite treatments since there are no crevices for them to hide. I just use newspaper in the trays and wash the roosting bars. The chickens seem extremely happy and love the ladder frequently seen going up and down.

So easy to clean
The hen house is really easy to clean however a few suggestions to make life easier:
1. The instructions for assembly could be easier
2. If there was a 4/6inch high panel down the sides of the run at the bottom this would stop the hens scratching the wood chips through the railings
3. The fastening that clip the run pieces together could be more robust they seem to snap very easily especially in the frost
Many thanks
Jane

A joy to clean
Having owned a Eglu Go for 5 years and becoming addicted to keeping hens! I found I needed a bigger coop. The price put me off for a while but I purchased one a month ago along with 4 new hens. I am so glad I did and honestly wished I had bought it from the start. It is a breeze to keep clean as it is at waist height meaning that I don't have to bend. Using newspaper to line the trays and emptying it twice a week makes life a lot easier. The ladder was tricky for my old girls so I cable tied some branches around it and now they can hop in easier. Yes it is expenpensive but it makes chicken keeping so much easier.

Excellent, girls love it.
We bought a beautiful lime green cube. Took approx 2 hours to set up (without a run) and was straightforward to complete. We had a previous problem with mites and 2 of our girls were refusing to go into our old house at night, on the 2nd night all girls went in happily. We have warrens, light Sussex, bluebells and speckledys and they can all use the ladder easily. We just placed a large log at the base of the ladder as a step up. Easy to clean out droppings in the mornings. I would highly recommend.

The bantams are happy and so are we
Eglu Cube: The boxes arrived on a Friday and on Saturday we opened them to start to erect it. However not all the boxes had been delivered (Royal Mail's fault). The remainder arrived on Monday. We started to erect it but quickly discovered that a captive nut in the base was missing. We rang and Omlet arranged a replacement base which arrived the following day.
During erection the right side of the house (looking from the rear) refused to go into place. After struggling for 15 minutes we went back several stages and loosened the triangular brackets holding the front face of the house and pulled it backward until the side fitted. It is in fact written in the instructions that the front face should be pulled back as far as it can go before the bolts are tightened, but it is so essential that perhaps this instruction could be highlighted in some way. We then took the side off again and tightened the bolts of the triangle bracket. It was plain sailing from then on but we are sure this must be a common difficulty experienced when erecting the house. The tip is not to do the bolts up tight before the sides are in place and the holes in the two side to base rear L shaped brackets can match the bolt holes. Another tip is not to undo the boxes on paths or concrete because of scratching paint from any metalwork and exposing steel to potential corrosion.
We use the Cube for eight bantams and were initially worried that they were too small to be able to use the ladder. This proved unfounded and they happily "fly" up to the bottom step. The only thing we have done is to remove one of the roosting racks and use hay for them to nest in instead. Being smaller birds they seem to prefer it to the racks which are a little large for them.
We wondered if the manufacturers would consider making smaller roosting racks specifically for bantams. We and our bantams are extremely happy with the Cube. In particular the wheels mean that moving it is simple. Our old heavy ark used to cause us back ache when we moved it.
Thank you, Alison Lay.
