I was quite nervous before I came to assemble the run as I was doing it on my own and had read that others had struggled. I laid every piece out in order (I had the 6' x 9' x 6'8" model) and I did struggle with the clips, even though I soaked them in water, but that was mostly because it was a cold day. It took me 6 and a half hours to do but I'm so please with it, it looks wonderful in the garden, very tasteful. I added Astro turf, a kennel and 4 tier outdoor cat tree and voila! Awesome!

Although pricey we are delighted with this. It is so easy to clean and my girls love it. I think they prefer the green water drinker as I changed and refilled both my old one and that one at the same time and they greedily drink from the new green ones. They manage the steps well. We have owned chickens for several years and I have always converted omelet ones. Wish I'd bought them earlier

This is a review for a Mk 1 Eglu cube. The structure is solid, the finish on some of the pieces is quite tatty but that is unavoidable I am told by the Customer Support team. This is without doubt a great chicken coop but we bought ours after having several years of wooden coops and the dreaded red mite. We read reviews on here where a lot of owners claimed it got rid of red mite which drew us in. Unfortunately we still get red mite just as bad and we only have 4 chickens. Would I have paid out this amount of money again if I knew the red mite would still be a problem? Yes, of course I would. It's easy to clean, it's off the floor and the chooks love it. Plus it won't rot!

Easy to fit, just need a good pair of wire cutters. I now have a door at the other end of the run.

Excellent. Putting it together was straightforward. It is easy to clean. Solid construction. Mine is currently home to four, happy, chickens. Very satisfied.

Like other reviewers, we dabbled with wooden coops and runs which fell apart and warped before biting the bullet and getting an eglu cube. we can see the garden from our bedroom window and wanted something that wouldn't be an eye-sore. We also bought (separately) 100metres of electric poultry netting which surrounds the eglu to give the girls a larger area to run but keeps the foxes (and our dogs!) out. We move the cube and run around the pen weekly and then move the whole pen every couple of months. This keeps the girls on fresh grass all the time and stops any damage occurring to the grass. It is so easy to keep clean. I decided to stop using the door to shut them off the nesting box at night and just clean it every other day instead as it was so quick to do, but after a short while they stopped messing in there anyway. I agree with a lot of the comments about the water container (spilling when full) and feeder (makes a lot of mess on the ground) but despite the expensive outlay we are glad we bought it. It actually enhances our garden and shows off our beautiful girls, while we feel smug that they are safe, happy and in 5* luxury. The best bit is that if we want to go out on a summer evening, we can throw half a cup of corn in the 3 metre run and stand back while the girls rush in, then shut them into the fox proof run and let them go to bed when they like. If we want a lie in, we know that they can get up at dawn and help themselves to breakfast and we can let them into the bigger pen when we get up. Very stress free. Well done Eglu.

Received the 6 packages, all well protected with very clear build instructions. Initially a little time consuming, but once understood the full build process it went together very quickly. My wife assisted with the roof and final fitting of the remaining clip arrangement. We have it in a temporary location for now on the patio, soon we will move it to a grassed area. Our Maine coon loves it already even though we have not fitted it out yet with shelves and climbing frames. To sum up a very well presented and sturdy cat enclosure, excellent product.

This is my second eglu and I'm a big fan of how easy they are to clean, safe from foxes, hygienic and quirky. I love the colour of this one and I love that I can open it up and clean it without scrabbling around on the ground. On the downside the 2 metre run that it comes with really isn't enough for more than 2 hens, the feeders are only any good for two hens - so I'm in need of spending more money already on a second feed station and another metre of run.... The ladder is quite upright and whilst I'm sure they'll get used to it eventually my hens have fallen off a few times and I've fixed some wood to the underneath of it to give more grip! Generally speaking I'm happy with it but not so happy that I will have to spend more - this hen house is more suited to two hens unless you buy the extras.

I love the Eglu by Omlet. My chickens are happy and safe. It's so easy to give them fresh water and food. There's no bending down to get the eggs. I am so happy with this product and so are my chickens.

Although my boys love their new home there are a couple of things I would like to see improved. The door is designed for chickens , it is too big for my boys I hang a mat over the front to reduce the door height, this makes them more secure. The food bowl that came with the run is useless for guinea pigs. I would also like to have another door in the side of the run. The base for the run is unnessary for the guinea pigs so we haven't used it. Overall though I love the run, it is so much cleaner than their old cage , they really seem happier.
